One of the first tasks before starting to paint is to properly protect furniture and floors.
First of all, you must remove as many objects as possible from the room you are going to paint: furniture, paintings, curtains, mirrors, rugs, etc. If possible, remove the light controls and plugs as well.
Now you must protect everything that you have not been able to remove. You must move all the furniture to the center of the room and protect it with transparent plastic sheets. This type of protection allows you to easily cover bulky and irregularly shaped objects. The taped electrostatic plastic does the same job, but add the tape on the edge for trimming.
To protect baseboards and door and window trim, you can use taped Kraft paper, also with adhesive tape on the edge and available in various sizes.
For protecting the floors you can use Kraft Paper or adhesive Kraft paper Good protective paper will keep out moisture or spilled paint and can partially protect your floor from scratches.
To achieve the highest level of protection against bumps and splashes, use plastic felt drop sheet, and also, you can reuse it if you want to paint more than one room.
